John Kooistra III

John Kooistra III practices real estate law, banking law, commercial law, commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. He was born in Little Rock and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Arkansas in 1977. Mr. Kooistra received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1980. He was admitted to the bar in Arkansas in 1980.

Mr. Kooistra is an approved attorney for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation. He is a past lecturer in banking law topics and represents many local and regional banks in bank related issues. He has served on the banking and real estate law committees of the Arkansas Bar Association. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America under Banking Law; and in Chambers USA as a “Leader” in the field of Corporate/Commercial Law. Mr. Kooistra is active in the Encourager Program sponsored by the North Little Rock school district and regularly tutors elementary school children in reading and math. He supports Kids Across America, an interdenominational organization for inner-city children. He is an artist whose work has been displayed in local galleries. Mr. Kooistra, and his wife Martha Ann, have two children, Ann Marie and Samuel.
