Stephen A. Hester
Stephen A. Hester practices primarily in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Commercial Law, Appellate Advocacy, and Health Care Law.
Mr. Hester has broad range of experience with all types of civil litigation. Before joining Williams & Anderson, Mr. Hester practiced at Adams and Reese, LLP in Memphis, Tennessee, handling civil litigation with an emphasis on hospital liability defense. While in Memphis, Mr. Hester represented one of the busiest Level 1 Trauma centers in the country, obtaining dismissal of numerous lawsuits against the hospital or settlement on favorable terms. Mr. Hester has also been involved with defending claims against other professionals, successfully defending lawyers, architects and engineers in malpractice litigation.
In addition, Mr. Hester has experience with complex class action, securities, construction and antitrust litigation.
Mr. Hester is increasingly focusing his practice on commercial transactions, with an emphasis on commercial contracts and purchasing agreements, confidentially and non-disclosure agreements, and product development agreements.
Mr. Hester is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Arkansas. He is also admitted to all state courts in Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American and Arkansas Bar Associations. Mr. Hester is rated AV® Preeminent ™ by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the area of Business Litigation.
Mr. Hester was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and attended The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. He graduated cum laude from Rhodes College in 1998. In 2001, Mr. Hester received his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Law.
Mr. Hester and his wife, Allison, are active members of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The couple has one son, Thomas.
