Thomas E. Tarpley

Thomas E. Tarpley was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and received his B.A. in 2000 from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. In December 2001, he earned an M.B.A from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and was admitted to the Arkansas bar in 2005. After law school, Mr. Tarpley received an LL.M. in taxation from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, in Dallas, Texas, in 2006.

Professional Experience

Mr. Tarpley has provided formation, taxation and tax planning counsel to small to mid-sized business entities of all types and in all stages of growth. Mr. Tarpley also has provided counsel to individuals in estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, family limited partnerships and other tax minimization estate planning techniques. Additionally, Mr. Tarpley has represented estates, executors, administrators and beneficiaries in probate administration matters of all types.

In the area of securities law, Mr. Tarpley has counseled entities in private placement securities offerings under SEC and Arkansas securities laws. Most recently, Mr. Tarpley acted as counsel for a private placement offering of debt and equity securities establishing the first physician-owned medical malpractice mutual insurance company in the State of Arkansas.
